Haru Adelia Maruyama Carrasco

www.thisisharu.comHaru was born in Spain, to a Spanish mother and Japanese father and has spent her childhood living between Spain and Japan.
She graduated in Digital Design at Instituto Europeo Di Design in Madrid, Spain and has worked in a wide range of projects as a web designer, film assistant and video editor. Haru is contributing to "Hafu Japanese" as the new webmaster for the project. She has designed the new website and will continue to maintain it in the future.
Haru is currently living in London, UK where she met the curators of the "Hafu Japanese". As a half Japanese/Spanish person she has also experienced the challenges of being of mixed ethnic background and can therefore connect with the issues surrounding identity and integration which "Hafu Japanese" explores. She hopes that the project and the website will bring awareness and understanding of what it is like to be raised in between two different cultures.
