We are always looking for people to get involved in our project.
Whether it be as an interviewee, volunteer or or a sponsor, being part of our project means you will join a highly valued circle of individuals who strive to develop this project in creative and inspirational ways.
Volunteering
If you have skills, in particular web design, or language proficiency in Japanese, or a general interest in our project and can spare a few hours we would like to hear from you. Please fill in our volunteering form

Our work over the last year has been made possible by the support organisations, companies and over 50 individual volunteers who contribute their valuable time. So far this year we have the support of Mamiya and ANA and Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

The HAFU project entered its third year of avtivity following the launch of the project in February 2008 and we would love to keep working on this project.
If you are inspired by our work and would like to help us raise the funds necessary to complete the HAFU book, you can donate now and make a difference. Your donation will directly help us to publish the HAFU photography/research book and help produce the HAFU documentary.
So far we have:
- Photographed 130 hafus in Tokyo, Kobe and London.
- Interviewed 65 hafus in Yokohama, Tokyo, Kobe and London.
- Exhibited at Bodhi Gallery (London) and London School of Economics (London).
- Talked at 5 universities in Tokyo and London.
- Delivered more than 20 events.
